Nina Thrasher, a board certified Physician Assistant and Registered Dietitian, she was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She received her undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences at Penn State University in 2008. She went on to complete a Dietetic Internship in 2009 with Adagio Health in Pittsburgh and became a Registered Dietitian. After 3 years of working in the dietetic field and seeing first hand how nutrition affected health and disease outcome, she decided to pursue her education further and went back to school to become a Physician Assistant. She graduated from Touro College in NY in 2015 with a dual B.S degree in Health Sciences and M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies. After graduation, she relocated to South Florida and began her Physician Assistant career in Orthopedics. She has experience in sports medicine, treatment of osteoarthritis, joint replacement surgery and arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries. Nina joined the Paley Institute and Dr. Minas in 2018 and specializes in the treatment of osteoarthritis, cartilage repair, joint preservation, customized knee replacements, and total hip replacements.
