Harry L. Shufflebarger, MD, is a board-certified, nationally and internationally recognized expert in the care of pediatric spinal disorders of every etiology at the Paley Orthopedic & Spine Institute at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. 

He received his medical degree at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1966. He then completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Emory affiliated hospitals. Dr. Shufflebarger has over 30 years of experience in care for children with spinal abnormalities, such as scoliosis, making him a standout, highly sought-after physician in his field.   

He stays involved with innovation, both in the non-operative and operative treatment of pediatric spinal conditions. His contributions in the area of spinal instrumentation have been significant and continuous for over two decades.

His notable accomplishments include professor of orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery and clinical professor at the University of Miami.
